Section 1: Before you start
To complete your application, please ensure you have the required information and that your company meets the eligibility criteria.
Before you start, please ensure you have enough time to complete the form, as you won’t be able to save your progress and return to it later.
Legal Entity Identifier (LEI)
You must have a valid LEI to open and trade using a company account. If you don’t already have one, you can apply
here.
Company eligibility
To open an account, your business must:
- Be UK tax registered only
- Not be a tax resident in any other country
- Not be classified as a financial institution
- Be Incorporated/registered in the UK
Directors and beneficial owners
All directors and beneficial owners (owning more than 25%) must:
- Be UK tax residents only
- Not pay tax in any other country
- Not be a U.S. person for U.S. federal tax purposes
- Must be permanently Resident in the UK
Authorised representative
You must appoint one authorised representative to manage the account.
This person must be:
- A director or someone who has significant responsibility or control within the company
- The only person authorised to log in and manage the account on behalf of the company
To ensure the account stays secure, login details must not be shared; this would be a breach of our Terms and Conditions.
Section 2: Company Details
Please enter your company details exactly as registered with HMRC and Companies House. This helps us process your application smoothly and avoid delays.
Section 3: Tax status and self-certification
To meet international tax reporting requirements (such as CRS and FATCA), we need to confirm your company’s tax residency and classification.  
Entity Classification under the Common Reporting Standard (CRS)
Based on your confirmation that your company operates in the UK tax jurisdiction only and is
not a Financial Institution, you are required under the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) to
self-certify your entity classification.

please consult a tax advisor.

Active NFE
If your company mainly carries out a trade or business activity (for example, selling goods or services, operating a business, or being a listed or public sector organisation).
Passive NFE
If your company mainly holds investments or earns income from assets (such as dividends, interest, rent, or royalties) rather than actively trading.
If you’re unsure, choose what best reflects your income source.
Section 4: Authorised Person Details
Provide details of the authorised person for this company account.
They will be the only person authorised to log in and manage the account on the company’s behalf.
This person must have sufficient authority or management control within the company.
We can only open accounts for companies where all directors and beneficial owners are UK resident taxpayers.
Please confirm that you are a UK resident and UK taxpayer, do not pay tax in any other country, and are not a U.S. person.
I declare that I'm a UK resident and taxpayer only, and that I do not pay tax or have tax residency in any other country.
I declare that I am not a U.S. person for tax purposes, meaning I am not a U.S. citizen or resident, was not born in the United States, do not hold a U.S. Green Card, and do not meet the substantial presence test.
Section 5: Additional Directors and Beneficial Owners Details
Provide details of any additional directors and beneficial owners who:
- Own more than 25% of the company’s capital
- Are senior managers or have significant control over the company (Persons with Significant Control, PSC)
All information must match the company’s PSC register held with Companies House.
